Found among the refuse below a power generator on Theed, this lightsaber was recovered when a hired team was sent to investigate how former Sith Maul survived his duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi. Emperor Palpatine occasionally ruminated on how to use the lightsaber, perhaps as a distraction or perhaps planted evidence, but never found opportunity before enacting Order 66. With Kenobi's death aboard the Death Star, perhaps one day it can be used against his heirs.
